How are Modica Group responding to the COVID-19 outbreak?

As the Coronavirus continues to impact many around the globe, our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the virus. Our endless gratitude goes out to the healthcare workers and others who are on the front line caring for those who are sick.

Here at Modica, we want to assure you that we are in the very fortunate position of being able to continue BAU – almost. We’ve kept it brief but here are the few small changes we have made:

  • As of today, all our staff are working from home. We planned for this as part of our BCP process so they have the equipment and connectivity to work just as well from home as from our offices. 

  • All our staff have access to various instant messaging platforms, several types of video conferencing along with traditional telephony solutions. We’ll be very happy to meet with you virtually. In person? Not so much, sorry!

  • All our equipment is cloud-based and, as far as Modica staff are concerned, we’re physically hands-off.  Nothing to touch, and nothing to catch. That’s the way we like it.    

  • We have requested all staff to avoid face-to-face meetings with clients and suppliers wherever possible and we’ve banned all staff travel, both international and domestic, unless exceptional circumstances warrant. 

  • We have staff in a variety of locations both throughout NZ as well as in Australia, UK, Canada and Central America. We’re well positioned to weather any localised events that may impact our staff’s ability to work. 

So from all of the team at Modica, it’s business as usual here. We are hoping that is the same for you. Don’t forget, we are here to help you 24*7, as we always have been and will continue to do so.
